One more legacy of legendary musician John Lennon auctioned. This time it was a photograph depicting the figure before Lennon was murdered on December 8, 1980.
Photos will be auctioned is a romantic picture of John Lennon and Yoko Ono who was lying down and hugged each other. The photos were taken by a photographer named Annie Leibovitz for the cover of a music magazine in early December 1980.
Straits Times quoted a case, Sunday (09/19/2010), auction image itself will be conducted at Swann Auction Galleries in New York on October 19, 2010. Photos targeted will be sold at a price exceeding USD 100 million.
Previously, the photos ‘Bed-In’ a picture of the late John Lennon with his wife Yoko Ono who was in the mattress sold USD 400 million in Canada.
Moreover, the text of John Lennon’s handwritten song titled ‘A Day in the Life’ is also sold for USD 10.9 billion in an auction in New York. The script shows the edits and correction by John Lennon written with thick black ink and red ink.
